Does LISTERINE® Antiseptic help prevent and reduce plaque and gingivitis?
LISTERINE® has been clinically proven in many long-term clinical trials to help prevent and reduce gingivitis.

Can diabetics use LISTERINE® Antiseptic Mouthwash?
LISTERINE® has not been studied or tested specifically on diabetics. Efficacy would not be expected to be different for diabetics. If you have any medical concerns, please consult your doctor before use.

Can I soak my orthodontic appliance in LISTERINE® Antiseptic Mouthwash?
LISTERINE® does not recommend soaking orthodontic appliances in any of our mouthwash products.

Does LISTERINE® Antiseptic Mouthwash contain copper, iron, chlorine dioxide, fluoride, lactose or ethylene?
No.

Does LISTERINE® Antiseptic Mouthwash contain tree nuts or peanuts?
No.

Children under the age of 12 should not use LISTERINE® Antiseptic Mouthwash.

Is there gluten in LISTERINE® Antiseptic Mouthwash?
There are no gluten ingredients in LISTERINE® Antiseptic Mouthwash. However, the product is not tested specifically for gluten.

What might cause sediment?
Drinking from the bottle and extreme temperatures can cause LISTERINE® to have sediment or specks. This sediment does not affect the efficacy of the product.

Why is alcohol needed in LISTERINE® Antiseptic Mouthwash?
Alcohol is used as a solubiliser for flavours and active ingredients (the fixed combination of four essential oils: eucalyptol, menthol, methyl salicylate and thymol). Alcohol used in LISTERINE® is Ethyl alcohol which has been denatured.
